EconCore Finalist Bioplastics Award 2010

We are happy to announce that EconCore is among the 5 finalists for the 2010 Bioplastics Award! The Bioplastics Award is organized by two trade publications bioplastics MAGAZINE and European Plastics News. From a total of more than 20 high class proposals our product PLA honeycomb sandwich structure was selected by the judging panel.
The winner of the Bioplastics award will be announced during the 5th European Bioplastics Conference on December 1st, 2010 in Düsseldorf (Germany).
Over the last 6 months EconCore has optimized the production technology to produce PLA based hexagonal honeycomb cores and panels. The PLA honeycomb sandwich structure is 100% renewable, minimizes the use of PLA and is hence also price competitive with (much heavier) products made from traditional plastics.
